Add a piece of Americana to your collection, with this high-denomination obsolete note issued for the Marble Manufacturing Company of New York, NY! As the highest denomination in this series, your $100 note is also the scarcest. Following the discovery of high-quality marble in NY in the 1820s, the state became a key supplier of the coveted stone – which was used in our nation's Greek Revival era architecture.

This handsome design was engraved by Asher B. Durand – the acclaimed 19th century artist who rose to prominence after engraving John Trumbull's famed painting Declaration of Independence in 1823. Each Uniface note offered here displays portraits of George Washington and Benjamin Franklin at the top, with a Greek figure at left and Washington on horseback at right. We have a very limited number of these obsolete notes available in your choice of grades – order now for best selection.
