Struck in 90% silver, the Mercury dimes of 1916-1945 circulated during an eventful period in U.S. history. Spanning two world wars as well as the Great Depression, these small yet beautiful works of art were very pleasing to the eye. Though Mercury dimes disappeared from circulation in the 1960s, these coins have taken their rightful place among the most popular collector coins.
