Littleton Coin Company Presents Annual Scholarships
July 19, 2024 – Littleton, NH – Littleton Coin Company (LCC) is pleased to announce the 2024 recipients of five annual scholarships.
The Rena Hood/Bartlett McKinney Memorial Scholarships honor two long-time LCC employees’ dedication to education and community service. Each year they are given to children of LCC employee owners. This year’s recipients are Emery Young of Bethlehm, NH and Luke Colbeth, of Littleton.

Emery is the son of Mike Young, who is Buy Planning Manager in the Coin Buying Support Department. Emery is a member of the National Honor Society whose members are involved in community service. Accepted to the University of New Hampshire, Emery will pursue a degree in computer engineering. His career goal is to become a hardware engineer, specializing in creating and designing the components that power computers. His extracurricular activities are running and Nordic skiing.

Luke Colbeth is the son of Kelly Colbeth, Senior Creative Scheduler in the Creative Services Department. This fall, Luke intends to study Performance Automotive and Business Management at the University of Northwestern Ohio. His more than 175 volunteer hours throughout his high school experience involved work in the automotive, carpentry and landscaping fields. His extracurricular activities included high-performance automotive restoration and welding as well as fishing and hunting.
LCC also is pleased to present scholarships to the top three students in the Littleton High School Class of 2024:
Valedictorian Claire Hennessey is a well-rounded student who found a love for the nursing field and earned a Nursing Assistant license through the CTC Health Science Program at Littleton Regional High School. Known for her hard work and determination, Claire was a member of the field hockey team, the cheer team, and the stage crew for high school theater productions. This fall, she is enrolled in Case Western Reserve University in Ohio where she will pursue a degree in nursing.
Salutatorian Ethan LaRose took part in White Mountain Science, Inc., a local program designed to give area students hands-on opportunities to be creative problem solvers using knowledge and skills promoted in STEM, the national science, technology, engineering and math initiative. Ethan’s strong communication skills, problem-solving attitude and professionalism ensure he will thrive at the University of New Hampshire. He plans to pursue a B.S. degree in Information Technology as well as obtain prestigious IT certifications.
Isabella Silva, ranked third in the class, is a naturally curious student intrigued by the chemical and electrical impulses within the human brain. Isabella will study neuroscience at the University of New Hampshire. While a high school student, she was active in field hockey and the cheer team.
